The Denver Broncos started a new era with
head coach Josh McDaniels but now that he
is gone they are looking for new leadership
to stabilize the franchise with John Fox bringing a wealth of experience. The back to
back titles won under Mike Shannahan are
a distant memory and fans have become frustrated
at the lack of success since those glory days. Owner
Pat Bowlen felt it was necessary to make
a change at the HC position so he hired
the young guru from the New England Patriots
to mold the franchise but that just did
not pan out. John Fox will look to put his imprint on the team overhauling areas that need to be changed. The defense has been a problem for quite some time. The defensive line will once have a group of new players that will compete for the starting positions. Elvis Dumervil will look to bounce back from the 2010 season which was lost due to injury. Overall the
Denver Broncos offense is a middle of pack
unit. Management wants Tim Tebow to be the clear starter but Kyle Orton is a much more poised and seasoned NFL quarterback. The Broncos
surprised many people by selecting Gator
quarterback Tim Tebow with their first round
selection. Gone is
stud wide receiver Brandon Marshall as he
was traded for multiple draft picks. The offense
needs great wide receiver play. Brandon Lloyd had a great 2010 season so it will be interesting to see if he can keep playing at a high level this year. Eddie Royal had a sub par season last year so he needs to bring more production to the offense.
The defense will
once again be under the direction of a new
coach and it remains to be seen if they
will have consistency with Dennis Allen.
John Fox will be instrumental in the success of the defense considering that is what his background is.
The unit needs an identity and years of bad drafts have caught up to the organization.
Free agent signings can only go so far since their is no stability year in and year out.
Brian Dawkins is the main leader of the
football team. His intensity and experience
is something that teammates respect. Although
he does not have many years left to play
his leadership in the locker room is something
every club needs. Divisional games will be
tough as usual and it is imperative that
the Broncos win their home match ups. The
crowd noise at Invesco makes the stadium
one of the loudest in the league. The altitude
does have an affect on the opposition and
that is another reason why the club has
a good home field record. Invesco field has a great atmosphere to
purchase your Denver
Broncos tickets for the 2011 season. The AFC
West appears to be competition between San Diego and Oakland but
the Broncos will play hard to get themselves into the mix.
